Which fibroids are not appropriate for treatment with Sonata?
While Sonata can safely and effectively treat a wide range of fibroid types and sizes, pedunculated fibroids and fibroids that are located at the cervix cannot be treated with Sonata. The method is also not suitable for very large fibroids (>8 cm). There are a few other individual exclusion criteria, which your attending physician will ask you about during a consultation.
Can I become pregnant after Sonata treatment?
Safety and effectiveness with regard to pregnancy after treatment with Sonata has not been established. As a uterus-preserving alternative to hysterectomy, treatment with Sonata does not eliminate the possibility of pregnancy.
